There are one Pre-requisite and one Credit at LEED for New Constructions and Major
Renovations Rating System that address Building Energy Performance. The Pre-requisite Eap2, Minimum Energy, requires save at least 10% of energy compared to the LEED baseline building performance. The Credit, EA Cr 1, Optimize Energy Performance, allows earn points related with the Energy save percentage of the project starting with a minimum of 12% for 1 point, 14% for 2 points, etc.
It’s important to note that Minimum Energy Performance pre-requisite, requires that if the proposed case have an electrical resistance for heating (COP1), it must be compare with a PTHP
“Package Terminal Heat Pump” (COP 3.22 y EER 3.3) , for residential buildings.
